St. Patrick’s Day Lunch for Kids

Little Leprechauns are bound to love this delicious St. Patrick’s Day lunch whether they enjoy it at home or you pack it for them for school.

A fun St. Patrick’s Day lunch for hungry little leprechauns.

St. Patrick’s Day Lunch Ingredients:

Sandwiches

  • Whole wheat bread
  • Cheese slices

Rainbow

Assorted fruit such as:

  • Red: strawberries or raspberries
  • Orange: cantaloupe, peaches, or clementine’s
  • Yellow: pineapple, banana, or mango
  • Green: kiwi fruit, honeydew melon, pears, or grapes
  • Blue: blueberries
  • Purple: grapes

Trail Mix

You can really add whatever you like to your trail mix, but this is what I included:

  • Mini pretzels
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Cereal
  • Raisins
  • Choco Rocks – in green and gold

Prepare a cheese sandwich as you normally would, then using a shamrock shaped cookie cutter turn it into a fun St. Patrick’s Day inspired shamrock.

Gently combine the ingredients for the trail mix and serve in a separate container.

Lay the fruit out in order of the colors of the rainbow – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple (violet)

Note:  I found the green and gold chocolate rocks at Cost Plus World Market.
