Spring Strawberry Picking

Spring is here, and if you’re looking for an opportunity to try your hand at picking fresh strawberries from the vine, Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls, Texas has you covered. On Thursday, March 2, their social media post indicated that strawberry picking will be accompanied by a field full of colorful tulips for guests to take in.

It’s easy to wander through the farm to pick your produce boxes, though it can become muddy so it’s best to wear appropriate footwear. Sweet Berry Farm also offers budget-friendly fun and is an excellent choice for those short on time who’d prefer to skip the other activities and head straight to picking!

Sweet Berry Farms does not charge an entrance or parking fee for strawberry pickers, though guests must use one of the farm’s picking boxes for a nominal 75 cents. Strawberries themselves can be purchased for $3.50 per pound. While picking season is expected to last through mid-May, the time to get out there and snag those juicy treats is now!

Fall Harvest Fest

Every year, we come to this charming farm and it never disappoints. From the corn maze to the hay ride, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re 6 or 60!

The corn maze is sure to bring out your competitive side. It takes about 45 minutes to complete and throughout the maze are signposts for you to find. Don’t worry if you get lost – with a map from the kiosk, you can make your way back to the exit. If you’re looking for something less challenging, check out the Candy Corn Maze which is just a straight-through maze meant for younger kids.

If DIY activities are more your style, then flower picking is what you’re looking for. With a cup of flowers and some scissors, you can pick your own bouquet of zinnias. And of course, no visit to Sweet Berry is complete without feeding the donkey, horses, goats, and other livestock. They also have paint-your-own pumpkins and stuff-your-own scarecrow activities. On weekends, you can even take a horse ride around the property.

Don’t forget to end your journey by picking out a pumpkin from their pumpkin patch. Varieties range from jack-o-lanterns to giants that cost up to $28 each. And while you’re there, treat yourself to a scoop (or two!) of their delicious homemade pumpkin ice cream.
